Ethiopian Water Technology Institute (EWTI) in collaboration with WaterAid-Ethiopia is giving Electromechanical Operation and Maintenance training for 24 water sectors regional, zonal, and cluster professionals coming from Oromia and Amhara regions. The training is officially opened yesterday in the EWTI training center. The training is more practical and motivating the trainees to be part of the solution raised from their societies. The phase 2 capacity building consecutive training to be conducted in EWTI from January 25, 2021, to February 3, 2021.
Another WASH Policy and strategy, Climate resilience and water safety planning training is beginning today for not less than 50 utility and technical managers coming from Oromia and Amhara regions. This training to be conducted in EWTI from January 26, 2021, to January 29, 2021. The training focusing on creating mutual awareness about WASH Policy and Strategy and Climate resilience.
During both sessions, EWTI Director-General Dr. Tamene Hailu officially opened the training and Deputy Director-General of the Institute Mr. Ajanaw Fenta, EWTI Water Technology and Training Director Mr. Alemayehu Gudeta, and Mr. Haile Dinku One WASH Program Advisor at WaterAid-Ethiopia were attending both training opening programs.
As per the official agreement signed between WaterAid and EWTI, the phase 2 capacity building consecutive training Programs will be continued.
